» What is the meaning of our name?

Team: because we are a group of professionals, who are striving to interact significantly from a scientific point of view, on the basis of shared norms and values. Our objective is to build knowledge with the purpose of intervening as a health, education and research institution in an emergent social need: our patients' life quality regarding craniomandibular pain and dysfunction.

Health: because our objective is to re-establish holistically our patient's life quality by perceiving him as a whole and not as the sum of his composing parts.

Education: because it is a process of intervention (teaching) and action (learning). We consider formation and education as a process of internal construction. It is a system where both patient's and professional's activities have priority: the activity of the patient with symptoms altering his life quality, and the activity of the professional trying to form himself in this disciplinary integrity. This is an immanent educative process (from outward to inward, remaining in the subject) induced through an educational intervention that helps or collaborates with the patient's or professional’s activity from a transitive process (from inward to outward).

Conscience: because our aims are our patients' life quality, and to spread our concept regarding professional conscience among the health professionals so that they can put it into practice.

Science: because this is a social production that only can be crystallized by working together and the team work requires knowledge communication, which only is possible through signs: figures and written and spoken words. Besides, because our group generates and publishes scientific knowledge for the individual’s benefit, for the continuous progress of odontology, and for the general health.

                                                                                                                                 

» Colors

Colors were not chosen at random. The word color points out at emphasizing the strength and sense of our group’s labor.

	Green: because it is the color of spring: of the life first years and of the years of youth. It means that we are a group that is beginning to work with a new denomination.
	Vanilla: because its essence represents the group's personality.
	Blue: because it transmits our sense of freedom.

                                                                                                                             

» Our Motto

Because human language like silence is infinite, and words constitute symbols of unity by which it is possible to grasp language and communication, we feel that words not only transmit a grammatical organization but also are partial significants, which include all the expressive vein registered by the strength, intensity and color of our motto phrase.

The “Real Academia Española”, which establishes the norms regarding our extremely rich language, has led us to the use of words that are slumbering in the dictionary just because they do not participate in the oral daily communication of the community we are part of. Recovering them is a contribution, perhaps very humble, to our Spanish language, for example:

Sempiterna (everlasting): eternal, enduring through all time.

Medranza (improvement): enhancement in value and quality.

Our group’s essence and conception are based on honesty and professional excellence, qualities indispensable for those who choose freely their activities. Above all these attributes are essential in the teaching activity, where dangerous simplifications, plagiarism, easy help, or commercial recovering must be avoided. We work hard to offer a first–class service, by teaching how to recover and maintain health from the person's integrity or holism and on the basis of science, conscience, and life.
